Your Warm Fuzzy Feeling investment directly supports ‘hands-on’ environmental educational programmes; youth wilderness trails; plant-growing (propagation) workshops; horticultural skills training, and the realisation of a botanical gardens first for the Eastern Cape Province. These botanical gardens are being designed to showcase both the ecological diversity of the region’s flora as well as the cultural importance of these “people’s plants” in terms of their socio-economic, medicinal, ritual and spiritual benefits. These activities are based at the “PRESENCE Learning Village” – and integrated hub for restoration, cultivation and education. Or, quite simply, a place for “growing plants and growing people.”
